1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, requesting a quote, booking a site inspection, or engaging HCS VIC (“we”, “our”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

These Terms & Conditions comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. Services Provided

HCS VIC provides commercial flooring services including, but not limited to:
  • Epoxy flooring installations
  • Concrete resurfacing
  • Non-slip & safety coatings
  • Industrial floor coatings
  • Floor repairs & maintenance
  • Trip hazard removal
  • Line marking & zoning
  • Pressure cleaning & sealing
  • Concrete grinding & preparation
  • Cleaning & degreasing programs
The scope of work for any service will be detailed in your quotation or project proposal.

3. Quotes & Pricing

3.1 Quotes

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotes may be subject to change if site conditions differ from the information provided.

 

3.2 Additional Costs

Additional charges may apply if:

  • Unidentified structural issues are discovered
  • Additional repairs or preparation are required
  • Hazardous materials or unexpected obstructions are present
  • Work needs to be performed outside normal hours (unless agreed)

All variations will be communicated prior to commencement.

3.3 GST

All pricing is in Australian dollars and inclusive/exclusive of GST (update based on preference).

4. Booking & Site Access

4.1 Scheduling

Work will be scheduled at mutually agreed times. We offer after-hours and weekend work for commercial clients.

4.2 Access Requirements

Clients must provide:

  • Safe, clear access to the work area
  • Power and water where required
  • Secure storage for equipment (if applicable)

 

Delays caused by restricted access may incur additional costs.

5. Health & Safety

We comply with Work Health & Safety (WHS) laws and industry standards.

Clients must ensure:

  • The work site is safe
  • Hazards are communicated prior to commencement
  • Access areas are free of public foot traffic when work begins

We reserve the right to refuse work if the site is unsafe.

6. Surface Preparation & Existing Damage

We will assess the condition of the floor prior to work. However, we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing structural defects
  • Concrete cancer, moisture ingress, or hidden damage
  • Future cracking caused by slab movement or building movement
  • Failures due to conditions outside our control

 

If additional preparation or remediation is required, the client will be notified.

7. Materials & Product Warranties

We use high-quality, Australian-made materials where possible.

7.1 Warranty Terms

Product warranties vary based on the manufacturer.
Workmanship warranties cover installation defects only and exclude:

  • Damage caused by misuse or heavy impact
  • Chemical spills outside product tolerance
  • Structural foundation issues
  • Incorrect maintenance
  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty validity may require adherence to a maintenance program.

8. Cure Times & Downtime

Flooring systems require specific curing periods.
Clients must follow all instructions regarding:

  • Foot traffic
  • Equipment movement
  • Cleaning
  • Chemical exposure

Damage caused by premature use is not covered by warranty.

9. Payments

9.1 Payment Terms

Payment conditions will be outlined in your quote or invoice.

Typically:

  • A deposit is required to secure the booking
  • Progress payments may apply for large projects
  • Final payment is due upon completion

9.2 Late Payments

Overdue accounts may incur:

  • Late fees
  • Collection costs
  • Suspension of future work

10. Cancellations & Rescheduling

10.1 Client-Initiated Cancellations

If work is cancelled after acceptance of the quote:

  • Deposits may be non-refundable
  • Cancellation fees may apply
  • Costs for materials already purchased may be charged

 

10.2 Weather & External Conditions

Outdoor work may be rescheduled due to weather or site conditions for safety reasons.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of profit, revenue, or business interruption
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Damage caused by misuse or lack of maintenance
  • Pre-existing problems or structural faults

 

Our total liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the applicable amount, as per the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Website Use

You agree not to misuse or attempt to disrupt our website or digital services. Content on this website, including images and text, is owned by HCS VIC and cannot be reproduced without permission.

13. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on this website.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with the revised date.
